PRIMARY FUNCTION


The Director of Procurement will be leading the procurement organization. Additionally, they will be responsible for goods and services that supports the company including providing oversight and direction, compliance review, risk mitigation and ensuring procurement deliverables are properly planned, managed, and implemented.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contract Negotiations - Lead the negotiation and development of key contracts through the effective partnering with the supplier, Legal, and the business stakeholders.
• Internal Stakeholder Management - Establish strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments and business units to clearly define requirements with a focus on fundamental needs balanced with innovation and financial constraints.
• Vendor Management - Manage key strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service. Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations.
• Executive Reporting - Provide detailed updates and analytics to Executive team on all elements of procurement including Macro economic conditions, supply plan outlook by channel and any competitive intelligence.
• Procurement optimization - Continuously analyze and identify opportunities for optimization, cost savings, create strategy and execute best practices to deliver on plan.
• Global policies & procedures - Identify procurement processes and policies for alignment at the country, region, and global levels.
• Leadership - Set clear, high, achievable standards and goals. Provide coaching support to a global team.
• Establish and implement short and long-term goals, strategic plans, policies and procedures for the Division aligned with Group
• Deliver on key objectives (Annual Operating Plan - AOP), delivery, quality, service, cost, innovation, and growth commitments for Division Procurement
• Understand long range strategic planning with the business partners across the Division and implement plans
• Provide division input to category strategies (Global, Group specific) and support implementation of aligned strategies
• Gather Division business requirements and assure compliance to regulatory requirements
• Partner with Project/Construction Managers and Engineering to deliver value and improvements to product offerings, price and delivery which drives a competitive advantage
• Supports the coordination of the business projects (e.g. M&A integration, vendor transition), monitor execution and communicate results to senior leaders. Ensure alignment with business stakeholders within the Group and Division on projects
• Engage with supplier leadership to assure OSS objectives are met, including quality, cost and innovation
• Drive and track compliance for indirect materials, as well as link with Global team for policies and procedures
• Serve as escalation point of contact for Procurement within the Division
• Consolidate, analyze and report on divisional procurement metrics for business reviews

• Develop and assess purchasing talent and improve resource productivity and professionalism
• Support the development and implementation of common processes, standardized work, use of tools and technologies
• Serve as the point of contact and ensure the implementation of Enterprise Processes such as Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk and Supplier Management

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience including preparing and conducting complex procurements (RFPs, RFQs) or relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience in a procurement organization
• 3+ years of leading a procurement organization
• In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
• Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
