The Civil Engineering Senior Manager within Development Engineering team leads and manages Development Engineering team to support engineering requests for all projects in Development.
Civil Engineering Senior Manager leads all aspects of civil design for wind, solar, energy storage, and other renewable technology projects for both utility and distributed generation.
Work requires expert knowledge of civil engineering related activities including surveying, aerial mapping, geotechnical investigations, foundation design, civil design, and Operation and Maintenance building.
In addition, promote environmental stewardship and a health and safety-focused culture within the Engineering group.
Additional responsibilities include leading support efforts to operating facilities as needed.
Manage and coordinate the efforts of assigned Civil Engineering group
Supervise project assignments for the assigned Civil Engineering group and supervise their work
Conduct performance evaluations of Civil Engineering personnel, aid their career development, and provide coaching as needed
Responsible for selection of new Civil Engineering personnel and other administrative decisions regarding Civil Engineering personnel
Lead all development projects for civil engineering related queries including but not limited to, requests for CAPEX input, early engineering and Construction related questions, support for permits and crossing agreements, etc. until project achieves construction contracting execution.
Ensure Solar Business Development Engineering and Storage Business Development Engineering groups are supported for civil engineering related matters for PV/MV and HV work.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
10+ years of design, engineering, and engineering management experience
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
3+ years of renewable energy experience
