Primary Responsibilities

 Site Origination Campaigns

  • Manage Site Origination Agents and their ongoing campaigns in multiple markets.

  • Manage 3rd party land contractors in multiple markets as needed.

  • Implement site origination initiatives in multiple markets to achieve company site control goals through direct mailings, digital outreach, and direct solicitation via phone calls.

  • Manage internal and external resources to acquire qualified sites and hand off to appropriate Development Director when site control is completed.

  • Visit landowners and land sites as needed to assist staff in closing deals.

  • Coordinate and implement training for new staff members.

  • Maintain data, reports, documents, and communication related to all site initiatives.

  • Oversee and approve all new leases to ensure compliance with the clients internal processes and goals.

 Other Duties/Areas of Involvement

  • Use and evolve company tools: Salesforce, Smartsheet, Dropbox, Asana, etc.

  • Ongoing communication with the client and Policy Team to support market development

  • Understand utility and state-specific policies in numerous markets to lead strategic land acquisition efforts.

 Required Competencies

  • Five or more years of experience in land acquisition.

  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time.

  • Proven track record of management and development of high performing teams.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey key ideas to landowners, stakeholders, and internal teams.

  • Understanding of comprehensive solar development lifecycle.

  • Experience and proficiency with leases, deeds, recording documents, LLC structures, trusts and other respective real estate documentation.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, identify risks, and alert the company of any opportunities or challenges arising during the course of an initiative.

  • Monitor internal team activities to ensure compliance with the clients processes and applicable external regulations.

  • Proficiency using CRMs, SmartSheets, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite to complete job tasks.
