​An exciting opportunity to work a full time, remote position for a growing Developer EPC with strong presence in the North East US.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing technical leadership & guidance during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects and will be exposed to all aspects of projects. This position is focused on large ground mounted projects in the 2-10MW size range. Traveling on average once a week should be expected.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead all engineering activities related to PV projects ranging from 2 to 10MW-DC, with or without BESS

  • Assist Business Development team with pre-contract due diligence

  • Act as lead engineer on 4-6 projects in parallel, with the help of junior engineering resources

  • Review pre-contract cost estimates and keep budgets up-to-date post-contract

  • Coordinate cadence with customer during design phase and construction phase

  • Coordinate and review design package with Engineering firms

  • Coordinate with vendors and lead procurement of materials

  • Perform inspections during the installation process, answer RFIs and provide guidance to subcontractors around installation details

  • Oversee commissioning process in collaboration with performance engineers

  • Communicate with utilities on an ongoing basis

  • Review production analysis and work with design engineers to provide the best solution to developer clients

  • Stay up to date on technology, code and policy changes that impact system design

  • Develop an internal team of EPC engineers to help support the growing EPC business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or related major

  • 4-8 years of experience in the solar PV construction industry, with a minimum of 3 years of ground mount experience

  • Relevant management experience a plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills

  • Proficient in Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst and Excel

  • Advanced understanding of the NEC and best practices for solar construction

  • Experience with DC coupled storage systems a plus

  • Advanced understanding of permitting & interconnection process

  • Basic understanding of financial modeling and incentive programs, specifically Community Solar.

  • Experience with Procore and Salesforce a plus
