Role:

  • Establish, implement and manage the specific project site plan to define HSE requirements, outline the Emergency Response Plan, and detail Hazardous Materials disposal plans

  • Plan project site HSE target metrics for accident frequency, loss-time injury rates, restricted work injuries, first-aid cases, medical treatment cases; monitor site team’s performance via project score cards to ensure stated objectives are met

  • Evaluate and implement compliance procedures specific HSE and legal requirements, dangerous goods handling, BOEM/BSSE, USCG and OSHA regulations as well as regulated Energy Isolation/LOTO, HSE requirements for all Projects

  • Manage, advise and train HSE Site Advisors and personnel to confirm duties are accomplished; participate in status meetings; implement improvement measures

  • Develop and manage task-specific Risk Assessments pertaining to project operations

  • Conduct project site stand-downs, discussions, and project site assessments; monitor elimination of deficiencies.

  • Plan (conduct / participate as needed) in HSE-related inspections, assessments, audits, reviews; assist in accident investigations and initiate root cause analyses

  • Confirm all incident reports are classified correctly; risk categorized properly, corrective action implemented and investigated when required.

  • Ensure investigations are conducted and completed, including proper handover of corrective actions to action owners and ensure they are tracked until closure and verify elimination of root causes. Ensure lessons learned are developed as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferred Associates' degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety, or certifications such as; CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, or STS from any relevant accredited safety program.

  • 2-8 related work experience.

  • Working knowledge of HSE management systems.

  • Experience in renewable energy or offshore construction is preferred.

  • Knowledge in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessments and reduction, including machinery and process safety, industrial hygiene, loss prevention, ergonomics, and occupational health.

  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
