What your Role is
As an Interconnection Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of our renewable energy and storage business across various regions within the US, with a special focus on California. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing interconnection and market support to power generation project development, acquisition, and operations activities.
- Preparing, submitting, and managing generator interconnection requests and overseeing study processes.
- Conducting power flow analysis, reviewing models, and determining potential upgrades and costs associated with interconnection.
- Coordinating, reviewing, and interpreting interconnection and transmission studies performed by utilities and consultants.
- Supporting the development of strategies to enter new markets and select preferred zones for greenfield development.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of key congestion issues across various ISOs/RTOs.
- Assisting in developing supply stack assumptions and performing economic assessments to support due diligence activities.
- Providing inputs on key market and policy issues to the team.
What skills you will need
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in competitive generation, consulting, or ISO/RTO.
- Working knowledge of interconnection processes and market structures across various ISOs/RTOs.
- Experience with load flow analysis and economic analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
