What Your Role Is:
As a Principal Substation Physical Design Engineer, your expertise will be at the core of our mission.

You will:

• Lead Innovation: Spearhead high voltage substation physical designs, generating detailed diagrams, elevations, and installation plans, ensuring precision and excellence.

• Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

• Mentorship: Share your wealth of knowledge by mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers, shaping the next generation of industry leaders.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to codes, standards, and client specifications, maintaining our commitment to excellence.

• Problem Solving: Tackle complex challenges, from equipment sizing to grounding and lightning protection, showcasing your analytical prowess.

• Site Support: Provide invaluable on-site support during construction, ensuring seamless implementation of designs.

What Skills You Will Need:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited University, coupled with a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Experience: Over 15 years of hands-on experience in substation physical design, managing budgets and schedules, and leading design efforts.

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in generating detailed substation designs, conducting site visits, and writing precise material procurement specifications.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, vital for client interactions and team collaboration.

• Innovation: A passion for innovative solutions and a track record of applying creativity to complex engineering challenges.
