RO Energy is working with a self perform EPC company who build utility scale Solar PV and BESS projects. This is an established company with almost 20 years in the market executing hundreds of solar projects. They are looking for a fully traveling Project Manager.
The Project Manager is responsible for overall functions on project(s). The Project Manager will coordinate the flow of information between the field and office to ensure that each project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities for Project Manager
Our client seeks an innovative and motivated individual who will be responsible for managing the overall execution of utility scale PV projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on or ahead of schedule. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules
Monitor and maintain project budgets:
Support and lead EPC contract negotiations with customers, including assembly of technical exhibits, the scope of work, and project schedules to align with contract requirements.
Leading vendor procurement and bid/award phase for all major subs and suppliers. Including RFP creation, vendor solicitation, technical scoping, risk analysis, budget alignment, and contract negotiations.
Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projections
Determine and allocate project estimates into the financial system
Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions
Provide financial and billings to Accounting for timely payment
Create monthly owner billings
Manage, vet and approve change orders while handling billings and contract management, including contract buyouts
Manage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s) by providing job assignments and manage career development as well as approving timecards for on-site team members and providing ongoing feedback on work performance
Oversee and manage the on-site construction team
Communicate information and logistics daily between all project stakeholders, including the company’s internal management team
Compile and synthesize all project information into a turnover package for internal and/or external use
Qualifications for Project Manager role
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in large-scale PV system self perform project management
Prior six years of experience in construction management, electrical installation and/or solar self perform.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and skills. Ability to read plans required.
PMP and or NABCEP candidates preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and SharePoint are preferred.
This role is a traveling site based role
