RO Energy is working with a leading US Owners Utility Scale Solar & Energy Storage Developer who are looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to be on projects across the West coast.

Travel is around 35% with the usual travel occurring Monday to Friday. Expected salary range is between $115,000 - $140,000 plus yearly bonuses.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities for Senior Commissioning Engineer

Our client seeks an innovative and motivated individual that will have responsibilities during the construction process.

The Senior Engineer must be able to work independently with little to no instruction. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in power systems, start-up activities, compliance and testing.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•At least 5 years experience in outdoor construction and experience in renewable energy technology

•At least 3 years experience in storage system technology and HVAC systems

•Experience with leading teams

•Hands on experience with wiring, assembly of mechanical machinery and operating testing equipment

•Experience completing commissioning duties including inspections, performing tests, trouble shooting, negotiating final compliance with AHJs and writing commissioning report

Qualifications for Senior Commissioning Engineer role

•OSHA 10 Certified or NEC70E Certification preferred

•Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

•5 years of onsite utility scale solar construction management

•Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, means and methods

•Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

•Willing to be on the jobsite daily

•Bachelors in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent technical field preferred, but not a requirement

•Professional Engineering licence is a plus
