​RO is currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator at a rapidly growing construction firm in the USA, this is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing division with a pipeline of work remotely– this is a direct hire position offering a generous package.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the delivery of Transmission, Distribution, or Substation projects in the US.

The Role

As a Substation / Transmission Estimator, your key responsibilities will be to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project.

 Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received, and work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.

 Critical for success is the ability to produce highly accurate work in a timely manner, maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and Civil Engineer, 10+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of both

• Estimating experience with Substations and/or Transmission Line work

• Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

• Experience in calculating man hours

• Desirable but not essential to previously worked in the field

• Solid MS Office and estimating software skills

• Negotiating experience

• Travel is required. Travel may account for up to 25% of the time
