RO Energy is working with a self perform EPC company who build utility scale Solar PV and BESS projects. This is an established company with almost 20 years in the market executing hundreds of solar projects. They are looking for a fully traveling Senior Project Manager.

The successful candidate will assist in due diligence on potential project acquisitions, define EPC scopes of work for projects nearing construction, and plan and track progress on active construction projects. This position will report to the Director of Construction. The role requires the ability to manage multiple project portfolios, and to travel periodically to inspect major construction milestones at job sites. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities for Senior Project Manager

Our client seeks an innovative and motivated individual that will have responsibilities during the construction process. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define and document RFPs and scope of work packages. Lead in contract negotiation. 

  • Represent EPC firm to Owner’s Representative on utility PV solar and energy storage projects in the US. 

  • Oversee multiple project portfolios and have an overview of the work of PMs and APMs.

  • Review and manage EPC Contractor schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans, and permit compliance 

  • Lead the coordination of project turnover exercises from Construction to the Asset Operations team for assigned projects. 

  • Assist with the development of internal operating policies, standards and procedures. 

Qualifications for Senior Project Manager role

  • At least 7-10 years professional experience in a project management role is required. 

  • Require familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards as well as civil and structural technical knowledge with self perform. 

  • Familiarity with the content of PVSYST and System Advisor Model (SAM) production reports preferred 

  • Familiarity with NEC Section 690 and NFPA 1 preferred 

  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensure timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat.
