We are actively seeking a Site Acquisition and Land Manager to join a join a fast-growing developer leading the way in Utility Scale Solar. You will be an integral part of the Site Acquisition team helping to ensure we continue to identify and develop the most competitive projects in the market. Roles and Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • The acquisition of land for new solar sites through purchase or lease.

  • The acquisition of easements or additional land for current projects in development.

  • Effectively manage transaction processes between Site Acquisition department and Pre-Development teams.

  • Assist Project Development with site information as needed.

  • Assist or support 3rd party relationships, particularly interactions with attorney’s on contract needs various projects.

  • Detailed daily and weekly activity and status reporting is required.

  • Required to travel up to 50% of the time.



Requirements
The candidate for this position should be flexible and capable of working in a dynamic team of professionals and should be familiar with US power markets and renewable development. The right candidate will be a hands-on, hard-working team player who can jump in and support projects from a variety of angles. The Site Acquisition and Land Manager position requires equally excellent communication and technical skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and the flexibility to shift priorities on the go. A passion for renewable energy is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 or more years of site/easement acquisition experience with a preference of at least 2 years of utility scale site acquisition or similar role (more preferred).

  • Experience in the energy industry, specifically, preferred.

  • Experience performing property research and public record analysis and familiarity with land title and ownership principles.

  • Strong grasp of real estate contract terms and conditions and ability to quickly read and extract key provisions from land agreements and legal documents.

  • Familiarity with the various elements and phases of project development process.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with use of CRM and tracking software.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and deliver results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organization and ability to multi-task are critical.
