What your Role is

As a Systems Studies Engineer - Planning (PSSE/), your role will be pivotal in leading business and sustained growth initiatives within the consulting and system studies domain. Working closely with Electric Reliability Organizations (EROs), developers, and utility stakeholders, you'll be at the forefront of driving impactful projects focused on T&D infrastructure development. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in sustained business, consulting, and technology integration initiatives with industry organizations.
- Engaging stakeholders actively to grow business based on subject matter expertise.
- Supporting proposal activities and projects to ensure completion within specified schedules and budgets.
- Assisting in the development, organization, and analysis of data for systems studies, utilizing advanced techniques for data mining and visualization.
- Supporting activities to enhance modeling, simulations, and automated reporting, while expanding capabilities of relevant software and programming tools.

What skills you will need

To excel in this role, you'll need:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, with 1 to 4 years of experience in power systems studies consulting or related fields.
- Knowledge of EROs, utility planning, regulatory compliance, and capacity assessment.
- Strong organization, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and various modeling tools including PSS/E, DigSILENT, PSLF, MATLAB, ASPEN, among others.
- Familiarity with industry standards and guides such as NERC, IEEE, and IEC.
