TRAVELING WIND TURBINE TECHNICIANS

An innovative, fast-growing company is seeking qualified, motivated and hardworking Wind Turbine Technicians.

JOB SUMMARY

​

Wind Turbine Technicians must carry out daily tasks to include inspecting, maintaining, commissioning, operating, troubleshooting and repairing wind turbines, all while keeping safety as their top priority.  Locations are nationwide, so availability for extensive travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

​

• Extensive travel within the United States (not state specific) REQUIRED (6 – 8 weeks at a time)

• GWO Certification, with commissioning experience (recommended)

• Electrical, mechanical and labor background preferred

• Minimum of 6-months experience in wind industry

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent

• Must be qualified to work in the United States

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must speak fluent English

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

​

• Must comply with and promote company and customer safety policy and regulations

• Ability to climb a wind turbine at least 300 feet

• Ability to handle repetitive lifting of weight: 50 lbs.

• Ability to work in physically demanding and inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time

• Maintain certifications to perform work

• Read and interpret technical manuals, procedures and regulations

• Ability to clearly and effectively verbally communicate and personally interact with co-workers and customers on a daily basis for safety and professional purposes
