GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Wind Turbine Generator package lead is responsible for;
- FEED, technical integration and optimization of WTG selection
- Supporting negotiations on WTG Capex & O&M contracts, and ultimately execution of the EPCI of the WTG package.
- This includes WTG selection, assessments, design and installation concept in the various phases of projects.
- Successful managing input and interfaces with contracting & procurement, project services and cross discipline (electrical, civil, metocean and geotechnical) are a large contributor to success.
This role will be based in the Boston area. US domestic and international travel expected (up to 15%).
REQUIRED
- Strong personal leadership in HSSE and Quality
- B.Sc degree or higher in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or in a comparable field)
- Proven track record of WTG package management for an offshore wind project.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering a large offshore construction contract >250 mln USD.
- Experience building and leading teams.
- 10+ years’ experience in offshore wind.
- Above-average knowledge and experience in the construction, functioning and operation of wind turbines and their components
- Extensive knowledge of the application of relevant regulations and industry standards, such as IEC61400, DNV GL and Best Practice
- Broad knowledge of the abilities of US and European contractors in offshore wind.
- Owns a good industrial network and the ability to use and expand it
- High personal responsibility and safe appearance
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to think innovatively and strategically
- Good communication skills and high social competence
- Evidence of your commitment to HSSE.
